Privacy Policy for Diveplan App

Effective Date: 11th September 2026

Thank you for using Diveplan! This Privacy Policy explains what happens to information when you use our mobile application called Diveplan (the "App"). Diveplan has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. Everything you create in the App — dive plans, logs, checklists, gas blends, team details and dive-site positions — is stored only on your device, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

  1. Information We Don't Collect
We do not operate a server and we receive none of your data. We do not collect, store or receive your name, email address, phone number, dive records or location. Nothing you enter into the App is sent to us.
  2. What Leaves Your Device
Two things leave your device, both as a side effect of the App working rather than as anything we collect: Both use HTTPS. Map tiles you have already loaded are cached on your device so the map works offline and loads faster; that cache is local, and is removed when you uninstall the App.
  3. Location
If you allow it, Diveplan reads your device's location to centre the map when you record a dive site. That reading stays on your device and is saved only in the dive log you are editing. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can refuse the location permission and place the site by panning the map instead — the App works either way.
  4. Information Sharing
We hold none of your data, so we have nothing to sell or share. The only third parties that receive anything at all are the two services named in section 2, and what they receive is the request metadata described there.
  5. Analytics and Crash Reports
There are none. Diveplan contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting software of any kind.
  6. Deleting Your Data
Uninstalling Diveplan deletes everything it stored on your device. There is nothing for us to delete, because we hold nothing.
  7. Children's Privacy
The Diveplan App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete that information.
  8. Security
Both of the requests described in section 2 are made over HTTPS. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
  9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the App after any modifications to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the updated policy.
  10. Contact Us
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your privacy when using the Diveplan App, please contact us at chris@bruford.dev.

By using the Diveplan App, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
